Summary
Snapshot started as a design concept called “Flow” meant to make personal finance more approachable. The goals from the outset were to be hyper-personalized about a user’s data and provide actionable insights or interpreted meaning (a “so what”) behind the data. It should also strike a positive tone, never condescending, and be digestible in 60 seconds or less. After the MVP showed excellent engagement it was rebranded and incorporated into the Chase app, it’s now an anchor feature, prominently displayed at the top of the Chase app home.
